In Vietnamese folklore, there is a six-eight verse that was passed down through generations.

“Whoever goes back and forth

Remember the tenth of the third lunar month"

("Dù ai đi ngược về xuôi

Nhớ ngày Giỗ tổ mồng mười tháng ba”)

Hung Kings Commemoration Day is an offical holiday in honour of Hung Kings, the founder of Viet Nam. The traditional ceremony is held in the Hung Kings’ Temple, Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province on the 10th of the third lunar month.
